Screen printing is a printing technique that uses a rubber squeegee to print inks through a woven mesh and stencil. Each layer or colour is printed on a separate mesh screen and can be applied to posters, stickers, vinyl, wood, or any material that can keep the image onto its surface. Before you can make your screens, each colour has to be separated out of the artwork. If you do not already have colours separated for your art, we offer colour separations services. There are several methods to separate an artwork and our printers have extensive experience colour mixing and separating colours for print and will work with you to achieve the best results for printing.
The film/transparency is what is used to expose the screen in order to make the stencil needed to print. Our film is printed using UV blocking film opaquing ink. It is durable, waterproof, and practically scratch resistant. For prices head to our screen print pricelist.
Once we have your files separated screens made and colours mixed you can opt to see a full colour test print before going to print with your full edition.
Our most used inks are archival water based inks but we also offer specialised inks including solvent inks, opaque, phosphorescent inks, fluro inks, metallic inks and thermochromic inks. When mixing colours we match to the solid uncoated pantone books. You are also welcome to supply a physical sample or we can match from the computer monitor if you do not have access to pantone books.
Foiling, hand torn edges, diamond dusting and gloss varnish are all finishes that can transform your prints into a unique piece of artwork.
